eHealth Ireland are holding the second Health Innovation Week which will be held from 20^th October 2017 until 25^th. Health Innovation Week is a set of 4 different events revolving around technology in healthcare. Events are focused on creating a public awareness of the amazing projects underway in Irelands health system.

What is cannabis: 

Cannabis comes in three forms: Herbal Cannabis, Cannabis Resin, Cannabis Oil. It is an hallucinogenic drug that can be used in a number of ways. 

Herbal Cannabis (weed) refers to the dried flowers of the marijuana plant 

 –with or without seeds, and leaves of the plant. These flowers and leaves are chopped and dried before use and resemble a packet of dried herbs that you purchase from a supermarket. This herbal form is often less potent than resin.  

What is ecstasy? 

Ecstasy is a synthetically made drug most commonly produced in tablet form and is a stimulant that makes those taking it feel full of energy. The main ingredient in ecstasy is MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) which is known for its stimulant and psychedelic properties. Powder MDMA is reported to be popular in Dublin 15.  

What is heroin: 

Heroin is a highly addictive opiate drug. In its pure form it is a white powder that can be swallowed or dissolved in water and injected into a vein.   

Heroin is four times more addictive than morphine and prolonged users have a life expectancy of 40 years.
