eHealth Ireland are holding the second Health Innovation Week which will be held from 20th October 2017 until 25th. Health Innovation Week is a set of 4 different events revolving around technology in healthcare. Events are focused on creating a public awareness of the amazing projects underway in Irelands health system.
One of the objectives is to inspire clinicians, university students, children of all ages and the general public to think about modern healthcare. eHealth Ireland want to put Digital Health at the heart of national agenda. They are especially encouraging school children, university students and healthcare professionals to join them.
Health Innovation Week is a series of interactive events that encourage creation, learning and collaboration by showcasing the innovations that have the power to transform the Irish healthcare system and build a better health service.
eHealth Ireland, with their partners, will host these free events to inspire everyone to make sense of the challenges that we face in healthcare. It doesn't matter if you are a clinician, a researcher, a service user or a student - there is something for everyone!
The Innovation Showcase will take place on October 23rd in Printworks in Dublin Castle. Other events will happen around the same time.
eHealth Ireland has partnered with 27 very impressive organisations to bring this event to you.
Kids can enter a competition which is designed to challenge students to think about the impact technological innovation will have on healthcare by 2030. Students are encouraged to share their vision the organises want them to think BIG. Creativity is encouraged and ideas or visions can be showcased in a variety of formats.
- Physical: Drawings, diagrams, schematics, log books, photographs of models/sculptures or any 3D work.or
- Digital: Minecraft World submissions, CAD Drawings or any multimedia format (photographs, videos, etc).
On 20th Oct, Health Innovation Week will kick off at UCC with an interactive and exciting session involving healthcare professionals, health IT innovators and digital health researchers.
The event - Unlocking the “Digital Thread” in the Health Management Landscape: Opportunities, Challenges and Next Steps - is hosted by Cork University Business School in collaboration with eHealth Ireland.
The Digital Health domain has experienced significant growth and is estimated to grow exponentially in value by 2020.
